First Reconciliation

First Reconciliation Preparation classes are offered to Grade 2 students and older at St. Pius X.

First Eucharist now follows First Reconciliation.

Our new Diocesan parish process includes a home program, parent enrichment sessions and children’s sessions.

There will be a mandatory Parent Information Session to further explain the First Reconciliation Sacrament Preparation Program and how you can continue to support your child’s faith development on Saturday October 5 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Children are also required to attend.

There are five (5) sessions to prepare for First Reconciliation.  The sessions run for 90 minutes.

SCHEDULE:

The tentative schedule for planning purposes is as follows:

Saturday October 5: 1st Class – Parent Orientation and First Class: Children & Parents: 9:30 am-11:00 am, Church Basement

Saturday October 26: 2nd Class – 9:30 am to 11:00 am, Church Basement

Saturday November 16: 3rd Class –  9:30 am to 11:00 am, Church Basement

Saturday November 23: 4th Class –  9:30 am to 11:00 am, Church Basement

Saturday December 7: 5th Class –  9:30 am to 11:00 am, Church Basement

First Reconciliation Celebration: To be Determined

FEE:

There is a fee of $27 for First Reconciliation.  Your child will receive one book for First Reconciliation Preparation.

REGISTRATION:

Registration is only complete once all 3 steps are complete.

Please submit online payment through the registration page.

STEP 2:

Email a copy or photo of your child’s BAPTISMAL RECORD to pastoralassistant@stpiusx.ca. Indicate the Child’s Name and Sacrament (s) in the Subject Line.

STEP 3:

If payment was not made by Credit Card in Step 1, please mail one cheque with your child’s name and the Sacrament(s) that you registered for to:
