Our
parish is a vibrant worshipping community of 1,100 families and
has over 40 committees that serve the needs of our parish and community.
After 50 plus years in our current church, we are outgrowing our existing
aging facility and find ourselves pulling together once again to
build a larger facility.
The
mandate of the Facilities Expansion Committee is to lead the Parish
in the planning, design and construction of, and fund-raising for,
expanded facilities for the Parish on the Parish site (enlarged with
the acquisition of our adjoining properties since 1998) in order to
accommodate the needs of the Parish for the foreseeable future.
Plans
for the expanded facilities include a renovated Church; on-site
parking for approximately 100 vehicles; new offices and reception
area; a number of multi-purpose rooms design to meet the needs of
the Parish for meeting space and the needs of Parish's sacramental
and education programs; a new Church hall that seats 200 (complete
with a modern spacious kitchen); and storage, etc. for our many
ministries.
Active fund-raising for the proposed new facilities began in
September, 2004.
The
Church renovation is now completed and construction of the new
parking lot is expected to be commenced in the near future.
